The world has gone nuts trying to celebrate, or at least memorialize, this writer in the proper way. It can't be done, which is fortunate. Once this month is over, we can go back to doing our brutal, idiotic best. But I'm glad he's everywhere, at least for the moment. I'm glad he died when he did--I wish we could find Cardenio. I don't believe there's any such play as Love's Labours Won. Why would there be?
